Jazz and Creative Music

Echo Music is a project of love that Joe began in the summer of 2017. After struggling times with jazz venues being shut down and dwindling audiences, Joe thought he would do his bit to help the creative music scene thrive again.

He set out to create a guide to the most creative gigs and events and to showcase musicians and bands in the Welsh capital and surrounding area that are looking to stretch the boundaries of music and performance. 

Echo Music grew from just a small idea, to developing a vision for the future of Cardiffs’ music scene, by organising and promoting of gigs, events and educational workshops that can inspire its audiences and future musicians.

Tiny Rebel Jazz

Over the past year, I have begun to promote all jazz and creative gigs across Cardiff and have begun to host my own nights.

The busiest night I run, gathering plenty of interest from the wider UK jazz community, is a gig and jam session at Tiny Rebel Cardiff. Comprising of one set from the house band, before a two hour jam session, an event built to foster a community of hungry musicians.
